The Sr2 is a single seat, semi monocoque chassis designed to carry a motorcycle engine for DSR or CSR competition. The design philosophy of this car was to build a low drag, high downforce racer using the basic chassis layout of our National Championship winning Dragon F1. The cockpit and roll structure are sized for typical American size drivers, with fully adjustable steering and adjustable pedals. The car is constructed without the use of "exotic" materials and like all our Dragons, is easy to maintain.
The race weight for these cars is typically 810-830 lbs wet, while the 1liter motorcycle engines develop 170-190 hp, depending on specification. Assuming a 180 lb driver, this yields a power to weight of 5.5 lbs/hp. Top speed is in excess of 150 mph. Cornering forces of 2.5 G (flat surface) are not uncommon.
Cars are constructed entirely at Small Fortune Racing, with the exception of the Carbon Fiber bodies and wings, which are Small Fortune designs constructed by Pennon Composites.
Quality components make for a quality product and you will find no corners cut on our cars. By working directly with various manufacturers, we can supply a car that already has the best components installed. All cars are delivered with Moton Shocks, Hoosier Tires and Keizer Wheels.
